Hmm...jusT yesterday i told kat that only if she buy me my present, then i will buy hers. Today, she bought me one.
We three, me , kat, Ang Gu Kueh, went to Hougang Mall, and Kat wanted to go to the Values dollar shop so we accompanied. Kat spotted a bag which is only a dollar, and she bought it. She then asked me whether i want to buy anot. I didn't want at first, but then i agreed when she said she will buy for me. I was thinking, wA!! suddenly my dear jie jie so good to me wanto buy thingys for me worx!. Then she paid and when i reached for it, she took it away. She asked me to stretch out my hand and i followed suit. She then shaked my hand and say: "Happy Birthday! Now i've bought u your present, u've got to buy me mine!"
Now, u may think that i was cheated, well, i really am. But thats not the point now. Despite the fact that i got that thing for a present, i felt happy. I felt delighted. I felt.... GREAT!
You may think the present was a cheap skate since it cost only one dollar. But that's not the morale of the story. I was happy because i've waited for so long. I've waited for her to give me my present for so long, and she finally gave to me. Even if it was just a small, pathetic one, at least she thought of my birthday. The bag wasn't any use to me, but she said can bring for swimming since its waterproof. I think i may keep the bag for as long as i can since its the first time she gave a present to me. I appreciated that.
